This enamel moth pendant features a natural sapphire and is enameled by hand. Made from solid 14k recycled gold.
The glass enamel starts as a fine powder and is applied in careful layers to the gold base and fired at high temperatures in a kiln. The details in the wings are then painted with a painting enamel that are also fired in a kiln. Each pendant goes through at least 10 firings to achieve the desired look. Vitreous enamel is not affected by exposure to water or UV light, so the colors will last you for years to come.
All the jump rings are soldered to ensure longevity.
Pendant measures 2.25 cm wide and comes on a 44 cm/ 17 inch chain. The chain can be shortened free of charge, please leave a note at checkout. It would be possible to add a longer chain to this pendant but at an additional cost, please reach out if this option interest you.
